Small farm owners also get to avoid the law by directly selling their cow milk to neighbours and other willing consumers.
This concern was acknowledged by the State through its Trends and Conditions Statement. Said document stated that "there is an increasing interest in consumption of raw and minimally-processed foods…such as the production of raw milk for human consumption..." Aside from the acknowledgement, the State stressed the need for "active surveillance and compliance activities" to ensure that intake of unpasteurized milk from consumers would be stopped. However, sadly, aside from numerous reports stating the hazardous effects of consuming raw milk, no particular law or action were noted during research of this concern. Said reports are also obviously useless as the Herald Tribune were able to report several farms discretely selling raw milk.
Although the coming out of lifestyle diseases may be calling for the intake of more nutritious foods, the consumption of raw milk as part of it may be taking the challenge too far down the road. Said intake is like playing Russian Roulette with health as a glass may bring either good or bad health.
